The administrative body of HAD is made of:
- General Assembly
- President of the Association
- Executive Board of the Association
- Supervisory Board of the Association
The General Assembly is the highest body of HAD, and it is made up of all regular HAD members, as well as representatives of legal entities that are HAD regular members.
The president ensures the proper and legal work of HAD, and is elected by the General Assembly for a period of two years and no more than twice consecutively.
The Executive Board is the executive body of the General Assembly. It consists of: the president of HAD, who is also the president of the Executive Board, the vice-president of HAD, the secretary of HAD and 4 members of the Association.
The Supervisory Board reviews and supervises the material and financial operations and use of HAD’s assets, as well as the implementation of decisions, conclusions and other legal acts.
The administrative body of HAD is defined by the statutes. HAD also has two sections: the scientific section, which supports basic research in astronomy and astrophysics, and the teaching section, which deals with the promotion of astronomy teaching in primary and secondary schools. HAD also has a National Astronomy Committee that represents HAD in international organizations.
At the regular 30th General Assembly of the Croatian Astronomical Society, 14.12.2022. the following were elected: president, vice-president, secretary, members of the Executive and Supervisory Boards and the National Committee for Astronomy, heads of the scientific and teaching sections:
