Membership

HAD members can be regular, honorary, supporting and junior. A person who has completed the study of astronomy or physics at the corresponding university or a person who has completed the study of another profession at the university can become a regular member of HAD if their activity (teaching, scientific or professional) is related to astronomy. A person studying astronomy or physics at a university can become a junior member. An honorary member can become a person who has distinguished himself in the field of astronomy and astrophysics through his work and has gained special merit for the progress of the Association. A natural or legal person can become a supporting member, who undertakes to pay the annual contribution determined by the HAD Assembly.

Regular, supporting and junior members are accepted by the HAD Executive Board on the basis of their written application via the HAD membership form, which must be countersigned by two members of the Association. The decision on admission to honorary membership is made by the Assembly on the proposal of the Executive Board.
